MIDLAND, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – People both for and against the bond were at the Midland County Elections Office today while officials made copies of tally sheets from the Midland ISD bond recount.
This is part of an investigation by Midland County to address the discrepancy in vote totals.
According to election officials, a ballot was found yesterday while the election machines were being taken apart. Officials say the ballot was counted, it just never dropped into the bucket.
The controversial $569 million dollar bond was initially passed on election night, then failed after mail-in ballots were counted and then passed again after the recount.
