ECTOR COUNTY, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – A 39-year-old bicyclist from Odessa was struck and killed over the weekend, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Troopers were called to the crash around 10:50 p.m. Sunday night on FM 2020 in Odessa.
While investigating, Troopers learned the bicycle rider, Brian Stout, entered the westbound lane of FM 2020 and was struck by a Chevrolet Cruz, the release reads.
Stout, according to the report, was wearing dark clothing and did not have reflective devices on his bike at the time of the crash.
He was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash, officials say.
