ODESSA, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – Presidential candidate Bernie Sanders’ campaign will be making a pass through the Permian Basin this month.

Sen. Sanders has a “Brainstorm for Bernie Sanders in the Permian Basin” even scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Jan. 13 at the Ector County Democratic Headquarters in Odessa.

According to the Senator’s official campaign website, supporters will rally at the Ector County Dem. HQ and discuss the 2020 Presidential race.

Sanders has been in the U.S. Senate for 16 years and was ultimately defeated for the Democratic nomination in 2016 by Hillary Clinton.

Despite the setback, Sanders re-emerged as a candidate for the 2020 nomination and is currently battling with several other Democrats in the primary race.
