ODESSA, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – One man has been arrested in connection with a crash that killed three minors in September.

Odessa Police officials say Carlos Thompson was charged with purchasing alcohol for a minor and turned himself into the Ector County Jail on Thursday.

Thompson is accused of buying alcohol and giving it to two minors at a park prior to the crash. Police officials say the minors later attended a party before the fatal crash.

The crash occurred in the 1400 block of 52nd Street back on September 19.

Officials say the driver of a Ford pickup ran a stop sign in the area and collided with a GMC Terrain. Both drivers, Kaenan Grams and Andrew Nading were killed in the crash along with another passenger, prior reports indicate.

Two other passengers were taken to the hospital for treatment following the crash, police said.

OPD officials say the investigation is ongoing.
