43 new COVID-19 cases in Midland County; Total at 2,888

MIDLAND, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – The City of Midland has confirmed 43 new cases of COVID-19 in the county. This brings the total to 2,888.

This comes after one new death was confirmed in the Tall City Friday morning.

Officials say the patient was a man in his 80’s who was being treated at Midland Memorial Hospital.

There are 947 isolated cases, 1362 recovered, 381 under investigation, 145 unable to locate/refused and 53 COVID-19 related deaths in Midland County. Today’s new cases are reflective of lab results from August 13-14, 2020.
