VAN HORN, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – U.S. Border Patrol Agents seized nearly 400 pounds of marijuana during the first hours of the new year.
On Tuesday, at 9 PM Van Horn Agents were called to a group of six people. Agents responded to the area to question the individuals.
On Wednesday around 2:30 AM the agents along with a service canine approached the individuals. The individuals ran. A short while later the canine alerted the agents to six burlap backpacks filled with marijuana.
Van Horn Agents are continuing to search for all the suspects.
The narcotics seized were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
