200 pounds of marijuana found in Big Spring, suspect arrested

BIG SPRING, Texas (Nexstar) – One man has been charged after he was found with more than 200 pounds of marijuana in Big Spring.  

Big Spring Police say on March 1, a search warrant was executed at 1601 Stadium Avenue.

While searching the home, officers reportedly found 244 pounds of marijuana, six pounds of THC wax, three pounds of THC oil, 19 Oxycodone pills and five guns.  

Police arrested Patrick Ramirez in connection with the search warrant.  

Police say that Ramirez has been charged with theft of a firearm, possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of a controlled substance, money laundering and manufacture or delivery of a controlled substance, among other charges.  

Police say the investigation is ongoing.
