12 Illegal immigrants arrested in Brewster County

ALPINE, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – Just after noon on Friday, Brewster County Sheriffs arrested four illegal immigrants near FM 2627 in southeast Brewster County. Two of the four arrested were Guatemalan citizens and two were Mexican citizens.

Later in the day, the same deputy found eight more illegal immigrants on the same stretch of road. They were citizens of Mexico, Guatemala and Ecuador.

All of the people arrested were turned over to immigration officials for prosecution and deportation.
