10 immigrants located in remote canyon near Alpine

ALPINE, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – Last week, Border Patrol agents located and arrested 10 immigrants accused of illegally being in the U.S., in a remote canyon near Alpine.

Officials say agents at the Alpine station were conducting patrols near the Rio Grande River when they noticed footprints.

Around 10:30 a.m. agents located 10 immigrants dressed in camouflage hiding in the brush, according to a release. All 10 were citizens of Mexico and Guatemala, officials say.

All have since been apprehended and processed, the release reads.
