IRAAN, Texas (Nexstar)- The Iraan-Sheffield Restoration Committee is raising money to bring back the Alley Oop Festival this summer.

It’s been 12 years since the last festival, and committee members hope to bring back the fun beginning June 5.

“We want to raise some money to bring back some things in the park some paint, and just some general touch-ups,” said Kamie Klassen, Restoration Committee member.

They are currently looking for food vendors, boutique owners and business sponsors.

If you are interested in a cook-off contact Kamie Klassen at 432-302-1317 or Allen Graham at 432-634-6033 and bring your pits, smokers and seasonings.

If you are a boutique owner, artist or independent representative wishing to participate, email Tiffani Rodriguez at alleyooprestoration@gmail.com.

There will also be golf, basketball, and cornhole tournaments and the night will end with a dance under the stars and live music by Ken Baucham followed by Clete Bradley & The Mood.
