(Big 2/Fox 24) – A portion of Big Bend Ranch State Park will close next month.
Officials with the park say a wildlife survey will be conducted starting August 19 and it will conclude on August 24. During this time, the interior of the park will be closed to the public.
However, FM 170, campgrounds, trails and river access south of the highway will remain open to the public, according to a release.
Additionally, the Barton Warnock Visitor Center and the Fort Leaton State Historic Site will remain open as well, the release reads.
