High Speed Car Chase in Seminole Ends in Cotton Field

Seminole Police were led on a high speed chase around 3 a.m. Friday and ended in a cotton field south of town. The driver was arrested.

According to SPD, they tried to stop a 2003 white Mitsubishi Montero in the 100 Block of SW D Street. The driver refused to stop and the chase began heading southwest then south of Seminole.

Police say they reached speeds of 100 MPH.

The driver then drove into a cotton field about 12 miles south of town. His car stalled.

SPD arrested 35-year-old Johan Klassen.

Klassen faces two felony charges including Evading in a Motor Vehicle and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

He also faces additional charges for local warrants and traffic violations.
