The Odessa Police Department arrested a suspect wanted on a charge of aggravated sexual assault of a child out of Hidalgo County following a stop sign violation.
Around 2:40 a.m. Wednesday, police noticed a Chevrolet Silverado run a stop sign at Grandview and Myrtle, according to a release from the department.
Officers stopped the vehicle and identified the driver as Vidal Caballero.
During the investigation police learned that Caballero had a warrant out of Hidalgo County charging him with aggravated sexual assault of a child, according to the release.
OPD officers later arrested Caballero on the warrant.
