Two new COVID-19 related deaths reported at MCH

ODESSA, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – The 33rd and 34th COVID-19 deaths has been reported at Medical Center Hospital.

The 33rd patient, a 91-year old man, died Friday morning, July 31. The patient was from Presidio and was admitted to Medical Center Hospital on July 28.

The 34th, a 75 year-old man, died Friday afternoon, July 31. The patient was from Odessa and was admitted on July 19.

Officials say both patients had pre-existing conditions.

MCH currently has 36 COVID-19 positive patients in-house. The Critical Care Unit has 15 patients with seven on ventilators. The Critical Care overflow in the Wheatley Stewart Medical Pavilion currently has no patients. 21 patients are on the COVID isolation floors 7 and 8 Central.
