MIDLAND, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – The Midland Health Department completed case contacting for COVID-19 positives received from December 28.
The overall count of cases for December 28 is 171, according to a release from the City of Midland.
This brings the overall case count to 11,870. There are 1,376 isolating patients, 7,519 recovered, 2,452 under investigation, 337 unable to locate/refused, and 185 COVID-19 related deaths in Midland County.
Midland County has also received unconfirmed positive cases from Dec. 30 through Jan. 3.

The cases are listed as unconfirmed because the Midland Health Department has not yet contacted the patients to confirm their residency.
