Gas plant fire still burning

GLASSCOCK COUNTY, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) The Gas plant fire in Glasscock County is still burning, according to Sheriff Keith Burnett.

The fire began this week at the Rebel Gas Plant and even prompted some road closures.

TxDOT officials said Thursday that Highway 158 and Highway 137 were both closed as a result of the fire. However, they have since reopened.

Sheriff Burnett noted Friday morning that the gas plant fire is expected to burn for about five or six more hours and no injuries have been reported.
