Former Permian High trainer pleads guilty

Former Permian High School trainer April Collins has pled guilty, according to a release from the Ector County District Attorneys office.

Collins reportedly pled guilty to one county of improper relationship between and educator and a student.

The other three counts against Collins  were vacated after being found unconstitutional, according to the release.

As part of her plea agreement, Collins will no longer be able to teach, according to information in the release.

Collins was originally accused of sending two text messages in 2013 that showed explicit images of herself.
