MIDLAND COUNTY, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – Another road project on FM 1787 will begin this month, according to officials with the Texas Department of Transportation.
Officials say the project will add 10-foot shoulders to the road and it will be rehabilitated offering a “significant safety upgrade,” a release from TxDOT reads.
The project will take place between FM 1788 and Highway 349 in Midland County.
Officials say it will take about 16-months to complete and some lane closures will be necessary during the project.
Speed zones will also be reduced and a width restriction of 12 feet will be in place.
Drivers are asked to use caution in the area as crews complete the project.
