MIDLAND COUNTY, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – A 55-year-old man from Florida was killed following a crash Thursday in Midland County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.
Troopers were called to the crash around 4:30 p.m. Thursday afternoon on FM 1379 and County Road 160, about eight miles east of Midland.
While investigating, troopers learned that the driver of a semi-truck, Joseph Davis, disregarded a stop sign at the intersection and collided with another semi-truck, according to a release.
DPS officials say Davis was pronounced dead at the seat and was not wearing a seat belt at the time of the crash.
The driver of the second semi-truck, Jeremiah Osgood, along with three passengers, Jose Ramirez, Nathanial Davidson and Joshua Fitts, were all injured in the crash and were taken to Midland Memorial Hospital, the release reads.
Osgood, Davidson and Fitts all reported sustained incapacitating injuries.
