WARD COUNTY, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – Ward County has officially confirmed its first Coronavirus case, according to a release Sunday.
Ward County remained one of the few areas of the Permian Basin that had yet to see a confirmed case.
According to the Texas Department of State Health Services, Presidio, Terrell, Jeff Davis, Reagan, Upton and Loving Counties have yet to report a case of Coronavirus.
County officials say 163 people have been tested for COVID-19 in Ward County with 159 of those tests coming back negative. Additionally, four tests are currently pending.
