Ector County Utility District to host town hall on water system improvements

ECTOR COUNTY, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – The Ector County Utility District will be talking water this week and they want the community to join the conversation.

The ECUD will host a town hall meeting at G.E. Buddy West Elementary School to talk about a financial application with the Texas Water Development Board for an infrastructure load to meet state water system improvement requirements.

The loan is for $45,765,00, according to a release from Ector County.

ECUD officials say the loan is essential for the county to meet drinking water standards.

Major improvements would include a new pump station, a 30” transmission lines and new elevated storage tanks.

The meeting will take place 6 p.m., Thursday at Buddy West Elementary, 2225 Sycamore Drive.
