ECTOR COUNTY, Texas (Nexstar)- Ector County ISD trustees met Tuesday to discuss forming a Bond Committee for the upcoming school year.
The committee consist of the following members:
- 5 students
- 46 parents
- 44 community members
- 11 certified staff members
- 7 principals/ assistant principals
- 17 central office administrators
This list is the number of maximum committee members that will serve in advisory capacity to the school board.
The Bond Committee is in charge of reviewing conditions and capacities of ECISD’s existing facilities, projections for future enrollment and the future facility needs of the District.
July will be the first time the committee meets and will continue to meet throughout the fall semester.
In December, the Bond Committee will offer it’s recommendations to the Board of Trustees.
The Board has until February to call a bond election in May of 2022, if they choose to do so.
