Odessa High and Permian start district play this Friday, Oct. 12 in a cross-town rivalry match-up.
Both teams are coming off an open week in Week Six. The Panthers currently sport a 3-2 record while Odessa High is sitting at 4-1.
Permian Head Coach Jeff Ellison said the Panthers’ practice routine will not change much to prepare for the game, but he is working on keeping his team focused. Ellison said they are ready for district play, and rivalry game to open it up is exciting.
“I’ve talked to people…friends, husbands and wives that are going to split households. I think it’s exciting for everybody so it’s fun for the community,” Ellison said.
