Buddy West Elementary School in Odessa is currently sheltering in place, according to officials with ECISD.
District officials say law enforcement are chasing a suspect believed to be involved in a robbery.
The suspect reportedly fled the business on foot in the direction of the school prompting the shelter in place, according to a release.
ECISD police are currently at the school for added security.
