Boy killed in rollover near Marfa

PRESIDIO COUNTY, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – A 10-year-old boy was killed following a rollover in Presidio County, according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

Troopers were called to the crash around 5:48 a.m. Thursday on Highway 67, about six miles east of Marfa.

While investigating, troopers learned the driver of a Ford Explorer was headed east on Highway 67 but swerved to avoid deer in the roadway and rolled, according to the report.

Officials say a 10-year-old passenger in the Explorer, Zechariah Dodson was killed in the crash.

The driver, William Lee Dodson was taken to Big Bend Regional Medical Center with non-incapacitating injuries.
