Wassermann Wranch has a new kangaroo and they need your help naming her!

Officials at the ranch tell us they are holding a “Roo Naming Contest” and they are seeking submissions from the public for a name.

If your name gets picked by Wassermann Wranch, you will receive a $100 gift card to to the ranch.

Applications are due by 12:01 a.m. on Saturday, June 3.

The winning name will be picked later that same day during a “baby shower” event for the kangaroo.

The “baby shower” will be held from noon to 4 p.m. inside Wassermann Wranch and refreshments will be served for anyone who wishes to attend and meet the kangaroo or the other exotic animals.

The so-far un-named female kangaroo is about 7 1/2 months old and is a Red Kangaroo.

Officials say the baby animal sleeps in an “artificial pouch” every night, which hangs on a door knob.
