Senior Midland Lee linebacker Isaiah Nunez is one of four brothers. Talor Nunez is a senior defensive end at Texas Tech, Kaleb is at the Air Force Academy, and the youngest Elijah is set to join the Rebels soon.

The brothers recently lost their father Domingo Nunez to a sudden fight with cancer. Two days later Isaiah played what might be his best game yet.

Lee head coach Clint Hartment provided these stats for Nunez’s night against Lubbock Monterey. Nunez had 21 tackles, two sacks, two tackles for a loss, a pass break-up and scored on a two-point conversion.
