Assault suspect arrested in Kerr County

KERR COUNTY, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – Kerr County deputies arrested a man sought in an assault case that began in Midland County, according to a release from the MCSO Saturday evening.

Officials say around 2:27 p.m. Saturday, MCSO deputies were called to Uncle’s Convenience Store, 4921 E. Loop 250 about the assault.

While investigating, deputies learned a man had assaulted a woman and her children at the business, according to a release.

The man, Jerry Gardner, is also accused of assault another person who tried to intervene before taking the woman’s vehicle and driving away, officials say.

Gardner was later located and arrested in Kerr County.

MCSO officials say he has been charged with aggravated robbery and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
