Alzheimer’s Association hosting education conference

News

The Permian Basin chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association will host an educational conference next week, giving information and hope to those battling the disease.

The conference will feature keynote speakers who will discuss Alzheimer’s disease, how to maintain a healthy lifestyle through physical activity, managing stress, nutrition and more.

“The conference is for anyone who is a caregiver for someone with Alzheimer’s disease or other dementia, or anyone who would like to better understand the disease,” Janet Cross, Program Coordinator with the Alzheimer’s Association West Texas Chapter, said in a statement. The conference will focus on healthy lifestyle choices with presentations on physical activity, stress management, nutrition, humor, and sleep. We are looking forward to hearing from all of our distinguished speakers.

The conference will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. June 20, at Midland College, Carrasco Room, 3600 N. Garfield Street.
