The City of Alpine is warning residents to conserve water as they implemented emergency drought contingency measures on Friday.

Officials say they will be under the emergency contingency until 5 a.m. Monday.

“The capacity of the city’s water distribution system is currently operating at critically low levels dur to a disruption to the system,” according to a release.

Customers in the city may experience fluctuations in water pressure through the weekend as crews fix the issues.

All customers are being asked to conserve water in the meantime.

Non-essential water use has been prohibited.
