ANDREWS, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – A federal complaint has provided new details regarding the arrest of an Andrews ISD employee earlier this week.

The federal complaint shows Gary Ragland admitted to viewing child pornography and inappropriately touching children.

According to the affidavit, on Sept. 30, Andrews Police were contacted about pornography being viewed on a school-issued laptop belonging to Ragland.

A district technology director then began to search the laptop and discovered several images believed to be that of child pornography, the affidavit reads.

Officers then spoke with Ragland, who admitted to accessing “child pornography on a daily basis,” on his school-issued laptop, the affidavit reads. Police officials say Ragland also admitted to inappropriately touching at least four children and said there other children as well.

Ragland then told police he had been previously accused of inappropriately touching a student back in 2006 but denied the claim, according to the affidavit.

Police say the incident back in 2006 had been deemed unfounded but Ragland admitted the allegation was true and wrote a letter to the student apologizing.

Ragland has been charged with possession of child pornography.
