A call for help, assisting OPD Officer Teddy Yelley

News

ODESSA, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – The spirit of West Texas is strong and resilient, as communities come together time and time again for those in need.

Another opportunity to do just that has come to the forefront as an Odessa Police officer continues his road to recovery.

Officer Teddy Yelley was injured in the line of duty back in May while working a home invasion case.

Now, friends of the injured officer have put in a call for help via a GoFundMe page. The page states Officer Yelley has had several surgeries since he was hit by a vehicle while on duty, but he has been unable to return to work.

The page is calling for donations to help Officer Yelley and his family as he continues to battle those injuries.
