135 new cases reported in Midland County; Total at 1522

MIDLAND, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – The City of Midland has confirmed 135 new COVID-19 cases in Midland County. The total is now at 1522. There have been 28 total deaths reported.

There are 867 isolated cases, 578 recovered, 40 under investigation, 9 unable to locate/refused and 28 COVID-19 related deaths in Midland County.

The state of Texas has seen a surge in coronavirus cases in the last two weeks. Governor Greg Abbott has slowed the reopening of the economy to try to quell the virus’ spread.

Many retailers across the country have also implemented mask mandates in their stores. The list includes Walmart, Target and Home Depot.
