Voting is now open for Odessa Arts’ Lip Sync Battle but there’s still time to make your submissions

ODESSA, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – Voting is now open for Odessa Art’s Lip Sinc battle and the winner gets a $500 shopping spree at the Music City Mall. The submission period doesn’t close until September 19 though, so you still have time to enter your best lip sinc to your favorite song!

As Randy Ham, the Executive Director for Odessa Arts, says, the world has been upside down by the pandemic and many events were cancelled forcing on organizations that rely on community support to get creative with their fundraising so Odessa Arts came up with this virtual event to give the public a fun way to raise money for the Arts in the city.

If you want to make a submission, the rules are simple; record a video of you or a group lip syncing to your favorite song! The song you choose must be appropriate and there is absolutely no actual singing allowed.

The polls are now open for current submissions so if you’re not ready to get in front of the camera, you can still get involved by voting for your favorite submission. Each vote costs $1 and the proceeds go to support Odessa Arts and the culture they bring to the community. You can find more information about entering the contest here. All of the contestant videos are posted below the application for you to check out and vote on your favorite!
