MIDLAND, Tx (ABC Big 2/Fox 24) – Saturday, the Warsaints Veterans Motorcycle Club, along with the VFW Post 4149 and the lowrider community, joined together in Midland to help the Ontiveros family pay medical bills.

Orlando Ontiveros, known to many as ‘Lucky,’ is an auxiliary for the VFW Post 4149 and a “staple in the motorcycle and veteran community,” needs help paying for chemotherapy. His wife Sylvia, a mother of three and a grandmother to many, was diagnosed with liver and colon cancer.

“He’s exhausted all of his resources, and we’re doing everything we can here to raise money to help out the family with their medical bills,” said Mike “Hawk” Miller, a veteran and treasurer of the WarSaints Veterans Motorcycle Club.

Miller and the veterans in the Basin are also asking the community for their help in supporting this family. To help with medical costs, you can check out the GoFundMe page. You can also drop off a donation at the VFW Post 4149 at 409 Veterans Airpark Ln., Midland, TX 79705.

“At age 49, she’s not ready to stop fighting and leave behind her family. Unfortunately, the medical bills are piling up, and the family is unable to afford the chemotherapy that she requires. Any help possible is appreciated in helping my mom fight against cancer.”
