The Midland Humane Coalition’s pets of the week, volunteer orientation, and low-cost microchip clinic

local news

MIDLAND, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – Terra Acox with the Midland Humane Coalition introduces us to the pets of the week, CB and Scout, who are currently available for adoption. She also gives details about another low-cost microchip clinic coming up as well as a volunteer orientation.

CB and Scout, are a bonded pair that the Coalition is trying to adopt together. CB is a possible chi-weenie mix while Scout is a terrier mix and both love people and pets!

MHC is also hosting another low-cost microchip clinic coming up on August 22. According to Acox, it’s the perfect way to make sure your pets information stays on them wherever they go. Each chip only costs $20 dollars and the event will be held at Alpha Pet Grooming in Midland.

The Coalition also has a volunteer orientation for those looking to get involved! These animals need constant love and care while they’re waiting for their “furever” home. The orientation is happening at the enhanced adoption center inside Midland’s PetSmart.

If you can’t offer your time, you can always donate to the Midland Humane Coalition on their website or select them as your preferred charity when you shop through Smile.Amazon.com and they will receive a portion of the sales.
