MIDLAND, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – The Midland Humane Coalition’s pet of the week is Princess, and eight-year-old boxer mix. According to Terra Acox, she’s about sixty pounds and was owner surrendered when her humans moved. She likes other dogs and loves people but she would probably be best in a family with larger children because she does like to jump. You can learn more about Princess or any other adoptable pet on MHC’s website.
The Midland Humane Coalition also has a number of ways you can get involved to help our furry friends if you’re not ready to adopt. There is currently a contest going on through Tractor Supply to support your local animal organization! If you want to help, you can visit their website to nominate your favorite local charity and explain why they’re important to the community. The nomination period ends on Monday, September 14.
MHC is always looking for volunteers and donations as well and they have a number of easy ways to do that. If you’d like to volunteer, they always need fosters to take care of these adoptable pets and get them acclimated to a loving home life until they find their “furever” family. The Coalition covers all expenses and you provide the love, all you have to do is apply here. If you can’t foster a pet, donations are another great way to get involved and you can do that on their website as well. Another great option is to select the Midland Humane Coalition as your preferred charity on Amazon Smile. That way, a portion of the sale from every time you shop will go to their organization.
