The 6th Annual Recycle Fashion Show

local news

ODESSA, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – Calling all designers, the 6th Annual Recycle Fashion Show is currently taking submissions for this year’s event! Because of the pandemic, things will look a little different this year but Odessa Arts, in partnership with Keep Odessa Beautiful, assures that it will still be a must-see show.

According to the Executive Director of Odessa Arts, Randy Ham, the Recycle Fashion Show is based on a challenge in Project Runway where designers have to make an entire ensemble out of unusual materials. Keep Odessa Beautiful decided to adopt the idea and center it around recycling to encourage residents to keep the city clean.

The event would normally be held live in a ballroom with an audience but because of the pandemic, things will look a little different. The fashion show will be filmed without an audience at the Ector Theatre and then aired on Basin PBS for everyone in the viewing area.

The contest is for all ages and you have until October 5 to submit your entry. For more information, visit Keep Odessa Beautiful’s website.
