MIDLAND, Texas (Big 2/FOX 24) – The coronavirus prompts the Permian Basin Area Foundation to open its emergency relief fund.
It was established back in 2001 after the attacks on September 11th. The fund provides a way for donors to contribute financially. The foundation in turn gives grants to local nonprofits.
Just last week, the foundation gave out. more than $300,000 dollars worth of grants.
“We know there are a lot of hurting folks out there. We want to help those organizations that are fighting on the front line with their resources and their skills in what is a very risky behavior environment,” said Guy McCrary, President/CEO Permian Basin Area Foundation.
If you would like to make a donation you can do that on the Foundation’s website.
