ODESSA, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – A new project is starting this month on Highway 385 and is expected to take about a year to complete.
Dustin Fawcett with MOTRAN Alliance Inc. says that the main focus will be to rehabilitate the roadway from Yukon Road to Highway 191.
While plenty of the work will be done at night to reduce the impact the project has on traffic, there will be a few phases where crews work around the clock to reduce the amount of time the entire project takes.
Improvements will also be made to the intersection at Highway 385 and Highway 191 and that portion of the project is expected to be completed before the 2020 Permian Basin International Oil Show scheduled in late October.
Motorists are reminded to slow down and obey warning signs as well as flaggers in the work area. The entire project is expected to cost about $11.7 million and is scheduled to be completed in the Summer of 2021.
