ODESSA, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – Road work is starting at the intersection of Loop 338 & US 385 this month and is expected to be finished in early 2022.
Dustin Fawcett, the Vice President for MOTRAN Alliance Inc., says this is part of a larger project to create a free-flowing loop system in both Odessa and Midland. The first step was installing traffic signals at major intersections which have been completed at 52nd/56th Street as well as Yukon.
This portion of the project is expected to take 18 months and cost about $25 million. During construction, traffic will go down to one lane in each direction and patterns will be changing with some work happening at night. Fawcett encourages drivers to avoid the area, if possible. If you can’t, please slow down and watch out for flaggers and signs indicating the driving pattern.
