ODESSA, Texas (Big 2/Fox 24) – TXDOT is finalizing their 10-year plan, known as the UTP, and major upgrades could be coming to Interstate 20 in the Permian Basin.
According to Dustin Fawcett, the Vice President for MOTRAN Alliance Inc., a part of the plan is to spend over half a billion dollars to upgrade I-20 in Midland and Ector County and make the Interstate 3 lanes in both directions. The first segment of the project will begin in the next five years with the next phase happening in the second half of the decade.
The UTP will be finalized in August but MOTRAN wants to hear from you now. The Alliance is asking for public opinion on the project or any other infrastructure concerns in the Basin. You can submit your comments on their website or through their Facebook page.
