ODESSA, Texas (Big 2/FOX 24) – In the last year, local churches joined together to help people through the healing process. Connection Christian Church of Odessa Pastor Dawn Weaks says, she wants those still hurting to know they’re not alone.

She says churches here in our area have been reaching out in all sorts of ways, including offering prayer and counseling.

“There’s nothing that we have to feel ashamed about or like we have to keep our chin up or somehow get through. No, we need to be honest, and we need to draw together so that we can heal from that point,” said Pastor Weaks.

On Monday, August 31st, at 8 pm, Connection Christian Church will be hosting a community-wide prayer service. It is located at 4241 Tanglewood Lane. Because of the pandemic, it will be a drive-in service. Folks can tune into the radio to hear the service. There will be a variety of ministers speaking from different backgrounds of faith.
