Basin hospice center providing at home healthcare for high-risk patients

MIDLAND, Texas (YourBasin) – COVID-19 continues to impact communities across the country, and local home health care providers are making it their mission to help those most at risk.

If you fall into the high-risk category, Home Hospice of West Texas is offering to deliver expert healthcare right to your doorstep. Home Hospice of West Texas CEO, Amy Drumm says she believes this program will help protect the health of those most at risk in the Basin.

Home Hospice of West Texas has 100 employees taking care of patients in the Basin.
Drumm says between the three companies located in west Texas, health care experts make between 75 to 100 visits in one day. Drumm says she believes her staff is fully prepared for an outbreak of COVID-19 in west Texas.

Hospice is funded by Medicare, Medicaid and private insurance. Non-funded patients may be able to receive care regardless of their ability to pay.
