WASHINGTON (Big 2/Fox 24) – The Alzheimer’s Association wants Congress to expand aid to nonprofits. Even before the pandemic, many nonprofits were struggling.

Those involved with Alzheimer’s Association would like lawmakers to include funding in the next Coronavirus relief package. They’re encouraging people to contact their representatives and make that known.

“We’ve still seen a serious impact from this pandemic in terms of donations, and so we’re requesting that a medium-sized nonprofit loan program be included in the next relief package,” said Sydney Thomas with the Alzheimer’s Association.

Alzheimer’s impacts many in our country. In the United States, someone develops Alzheimer’s every 65 seconds.
