Midland, TEXAS (Fox 24 News) – For this week’s segment, we welcome the founder of BADD- Beautiful and Dedicated Divas. The nonprofit offers a 6-week program to girls aged 16 to 18. The goal is to teach these young women how to be successful after high school. Some of the topics include self-worth, financial literacy, safe dating, defense against rape and abduction (known as RAD training), and professional etiquette. The participants need to complete community service as part of the program as well. The BADD program also has resources like a food pantry and counseling services. The girls who graduate from the program will receive a 500 dollar scholarship that can be used toward college or becoming self-sufficient. The founders are looking for help with volunteers and donations for their BADD program. If you’d like to contribute, you can go to their website for more information or to donate.
