At Ector County ISD, substitute teachers thought they had a temporary assignment. Yet, over time, the job became more long term as the district struggles to find and retain teachers. 

The Texas Senate passed SB 9, which would prohibit anyone from impeding walkways, sidewalks, parking lots or roadways within 1,000 feet of a polling location. Those opposed to SB 9 say it would limit access to the polls in Texas.

Also on Tuesday, the world gathered around their screens to watch as the iconic Notre Dame Cathedral’s roof burned causing extensive damage. Communities have since rallied around Paris in hopes of restoring the cathedral to its former glory.
