ODESSA, Texas (YourBasin) – What started as a catering business, turned into a popular dine-in restaurant.
“What can I say about our family business is, we’ve been very very blessed,” said manager Gracie Ortiz.
Casa Ortiz says they have the best brisket in town. Formally made by owner Pedro Ortiz, Maria Ortiz keeps his legacy alive after Pete died seven years ago from cancer.
“He was a big impact on the community. Actually, the students from New Tech [Odessa] they painted a mural on the side of the wall,” said Gracie Ortiz.
Joining me today is morning anchor Caitlin Landers to try out three dishes including their brisket and Pete’s Plate, named after owner Pedro Ortiz.
The restaurant is located right new to Medical Center Hospital on Alleghaney Ave.
