Yoselin Person

Yoselin Person ventured out to West Texas and is thrilled to be working in Odessa and excited to continue her passion in broadcast journalism at Big 2 News.

She is a Native New Yorker, born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. Yoselin is a product of a highly regarded journalism program, Jandoli School of Communication, at St. Bonaventure University.

Yoselin being ambitious and having an inquisitive mindset, and she gained her broadcast experience by learning from her professors who were in the broadcast field for ten plus years and being so hands on the campus news station, SBU-TV Channel 9.

Her passion for journalism all began when she watched Howard Thompson, WPIX 11 News, venturing out and covering hard-hitting stories. She became inspired by Thompson’s work and realized she wanted to be the person with a voice for the voiceless. Yoselin’s inspiration and ambition lead her to go on a service trip to Uganda, Africa.

There, she was able to capture the unforgettable stories of the living conditions of the orphans, which she put together a short documentary of the lives of the children.

When she is outside of the newsroom, she journals listens to classic oldies and visits the animal shelter. Yoselin would be thrilled to be the voice for your story.
