Be Our Change – Dog Rescue R Us
ODESSA, Texas (FOX 24) – A local nonprofit has helped thousands of dogs in the short time it’s been around.
Dog Rescue R Us started two years ago and already the nonprofit has saved about 7,000 dogs.
Dana Tinley is the Vice President of Dog Rescue R Us, but just like everyone involved it’s strictly a volunteer position.
“I just felt it was a ministry I was called to do,” said Tinley. “My husband and I own two businesses.”
Colton Barrington is with Odessa Animal Control.
“There’s a lot of dogs out there. Without the nonprofits, we’re going to be overflooded with animals at our shelter,” said Barrington.
Dolly Hinsz is the Operations Director at Dog Rescue R Us. “I can do a little bit of everything,” said Hinsz. “I coordinate transport, I coordinate fosters, I’ve given 2500 shots in two years easily.”
The local animal rescue has this new facility in Gardendale. But now, it’s trying to raise the funds to hire an employee to run it.
“There are so many good people who are rescuing,” said Tinley. “God bless all of them for doing what they’re doing and trying so hard.”
